Why and what we aim to do:
Together with the International School Eindhoven (ISE), we aim to raise funds to support children from low-income families in Antigua, Guatemala. By doing so we provide them with a chance to receive education, food and medical care through Ninos de Guatemala (NDG). The good work in the past has proven this can and will break the cycle of poverty, and provides the students and their families a chance to a better future.
You can support NDG by donating. The funds will be used for hiring teachers, providing facilities but also daily meals. For example, for 3 euro’s they can provide 2 meals, and for 15 euros, a child can be given several daily meals for 2 weeks. As said, donations also contribute to the hiring of staff, and at the moment NDG has a faculty of 40 teachers. The school is fully funded by donations so your help is greatly welcome, needed and appreciated. Main focus points, as said, are the following areas.
● Education is accessible: Providing scholarships and resources for over 500 students.
● Health is prioritized: Offering daily nutritious meals and essential medical care.
● Futures are built: Equipping students with the knowledge and skills for long-term employment and breaking the cycle of poverty.

The ISE community is happy to partner with ASML to raise vital funds for Niños de Guatemala (NDG), an incredible Dutch organization dedicated to providing quality education to children in need around Antigua, in Guatemala.

Niños de Guatemala (NDG) runs two schools—the primary school El Porvenir in Ciudad Vieja and the secondary school Nuestro Futuro in San Jorge—providing over 600 students from vulnerable backgrounds with a comprehensive education, nutritious meals, medical care, and invaluable social support. This holistic approach ensures that poverty is not a barrier to a brighter future.
The Challenge for children in Antigua, Guatemala
Guatemala faces significant educational hurdles. Many children from low-income families are forced to leave school early to work, trapping their families in the cycle of poverty. Niños de Guatemala offers a crucial alternative, empowering these children to become the educated leaders of tomorrow.
ISE Community + ASML + NDG = Success
The students, teachers, and parents of the International School Eindhoven are setting up multiple activities to bring awareness about Niños de Guatemala and raise funds for their educational programs. Last year they raised 10000 euro as a community, hoping to match this again this year.
We hope that we here at ASML can contribute to their efforts by hosting this company-wide fundraiser.
